My Husband and I came here several times while staying at the tides on the 12th and 13 th of February - The employees were all super friendly , the merchandise they sold was amazing and so different from any other local store that I purchased several items ! Reasonable prices , super sweet employees-- if ever visiting folly beach we would definitely come back here
It's coffee. If you like Starbucks. They proudly brew. It's on the beach. So have the barista drum up your favorite espresso drink, remove your shoes and take a walk on the beach.
This is a convenient shop for coffee, snacks, sunscreen, and other beach necessities. It lacks good food, like made-to-order breakfast sandwiches (they have Jimmy Dean prepackaged ones) or quality lunch sandwiches for adults (thinking crusty locally made bread with a rotating selection like ham and brie, BLT, caprese, or grilled vegetables with garlic aioli [or whatever])--the premade ones they had remind me of the sandwiches I would have as a kid. Lots of room for improvement but they've got the necessities.
If you have a teen that has to get to Starbucks in order to be an Instagram star, then you have to get to Roasted. The young woman that works there is so sweet, and so are the drinks. Roasted is basically a pit stop. They have cold snacks and warm snacks. Hats and sunscreen. A door that leads right to the Tides pool (not a tide pool) for moms who are seeking that moment of clarification which can be found in chocolate beverages. And, yes, they can do most Starbucks beverages. Prices are a bit steep, but no more than Starbucks prices. And it tastes just like Starbucks, too. It is Starbucks! There are small tables for sitting. It is nice and cool. Napkins and extra stuff, like sugar and cream, straws. Even though the pool is right there, it is nice and quiet in Roasted. All the cannonballs are muted. It is also clean. If you need the bathroom, make a left when leaving. Go past the front desk and walk towards the Tides restaurant. The bathroom is on the right. I like the fact that Roasted is hidden in Tides. Roasted is the oasis of Folly Beach.
Awesome, Starbucks right here in the hotel, lots of goodies, cashier very attentive.. was a little chilly, did not quite pack, enough, typical woman, LOL.. grabbed this adorable, hot pink fleece, hoodie, so that I can possibly, walk on the beach with my husband, celebrating our one year wedding anniversary! Just one of my favorite coffee spots while I'm here on Folly Beach, at the tides Hotel.. everyone is so attentive, souvenirs, cookbooks, T-shirts, sweatshirts, ice cream, just a little too chilly for that today, just a hot cup of cappuccino for a little walk on the beach... they also have specialty cold coffees, lots of variety to choose from.. I would give it more than five stars, if that were possible
I absolutely love getting my coffee here before my morning beach walks! They serve Starbucks coffee and also have an assortment of baked goods, fruit, and sandwiches. There's a gift shop feel to the place given that they sell touristy goodies, like books about Charleston, postcards, and things like coffee cups with the Tides logo on them. They also have small essentials if you need anything like headache medicine. There are a few small tables in Roasted, but why stay inside when you could enjoy your coffee on the beach?! I do have to mention the staff. They are so pleasant, especially appreciated at 6am! Always smiling, and they make great coffee!! Need a pick-me-up while on Folly, keep Roasted in mind!
This place is basically a Starbucks on the ocean, and I'm not really a big Starbucks fan but every once and a while I need a a White Chocolate Moca to satisfy my sweet tooth. It's a bit pricey but that's what you should expect at a beach hotel. They have a good assortment of other drinks and snacks too.
Roasted is Folly's version of Starbucks; only better. They serve Starbucks coffee and it actually tastes better than coffee in Starbucks stores. Also the staff here is great; fast and friendly service with a smile. It's a great place to grab a coffee early in the morning or a cold day in the winter while enjoying Folly Beach.
